Community/Project Development Specialist - led the community-based component focused on responding to the dredging activities that occurred in the Kingston Harbour as part of an overall economic investment to bring larger ships into the Harbour.

Kingston Freeport Terminal Limited (KFTL), the concessionaire selected to finance, expand, operate, maintain and transfer the Kingston Container Terminal (KCT) proposes to increase the capacity of the Terminal operations from the current 2,800,000 TEU to 3,600,000 TEU, accommodating 12,500 TEU vessels (fully loaded). KCT, one of the largest container and transshipment ports in the Caribbean region. The project has three main components; channel upgrade, quays refurbishment and terminal equipment / operation upgrade. The purpose of this shared value and ecosystem services appraisal is to identify opportunities (with supporting business cases) for KFTL along with the Port Authority of Jamaica (PAJ) to improve the living and working conditions of fishing communities near the Kingston Harbor.
